Community Christian School is located in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and is a non-denominational, accredited Christian School that has served Christian families since 1978.   The school strives to raise-up disciples of Jesus Christ in a post-Christian culture.

CCS serves students in preschool through eighth grade.  The school offers both 3 and 4 year old preschool.  The K-8 enrollment averages 65 students.

Community Christian School has an opening for the following positions for the 2017-18 school year:

·         Full-time preschool director/teacher

·         Full-time 3rd/ 4th  grade classroom teacher

·         Full time School Administrator/Head of School

 

Desired qualifications for the preschool position include:

·         Must be properly certified in the State of Iowa for this position, or able to obtain such certification or provisional certification by the position start date.

·         A committed follower of Jesus Christ and passionate about passing on their faith to the next generation.

·         Experience and/or working knowledge of IQPPS, Creative Curriculum, GOLD Assessments, DHS standards

·         A strong collaborative leader with a passion for teaching young children

·         Ability to deliver lessons with clarity, passion, and an unwavering Biblical worldview

·         Excellent communication skills to create and maintain a partnership between school and home

 

Desired qualifications for the 3rd/4th grade position include:

·         Current Iowa Teaching License and required endorsements for the position

·         A committed follower of Jesus that desires to pass on faith to the next generation

·         Ability/willingness to teach in multi-grade classroom

·         Excellent classroom management skills

·         Ability to create a love of learning

·         Ability to deliver lessons with clarity, passion, and an unwavering Biblical worldview

·         Excellent communication skills to create and maintain a partnership between school and home

 

Desired qualifications for the Administrator/Head of School position include:

·         Must be properly certified in the State of Iowa for this position, or able to obtain such certification or provisional certification by the position start date.

·         Prefer candidates with prior leadership experience

·         A strong collaborative leader with a passion for Christian Education

·         Demonstrates proficient and effective skills in communication

·         Experience in managing multiple priorities

·         Ability to be the spiritual leader of the teaching staff

·         A committed follower of Jesus that desires to pass on faith to the next generation

·         Excellent communication skills to create and maintain a partnership between school and home

·         Experience in working for a board of directors
